Sports Performance Training or "sport-specific" training is strength, conditioning, and performance training for the sports of your choice. At Bull Dawg Athletic Training and Physical Therapy, we offer sports performance training for professional and aspiring athletes at the college and high school levels and anyone interested in taking their performance to a new level.

Our Programs

Our sports performance programs are led by a team of experts including physical therapists and certified personal trainers who define fitness as the ability to perform at your full potential. We offer a variety of programs designed to help our clients achieve that goal. Programs can be individual or team-based.

It all starts with an evaluation and movement assessment! We’ll check your posture, balance, gait, speed, strength, agility, and other sport-specific movements to identify what areas need the most attention before creating an individualized program with sport-specific demands and your goals in mind.

Increase Your Speed, Strength, and Power

At Bull Dawg, we use plyometric exercises designed to produce fast, powerful movements and improve the functions of the nervous system. Plyometrics also increases your range of motion and build your strength. Other benefits of sports performance training include:

  • At age 68, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Katherine’s expertise and knowledge allowed me never to lose an hour of work, and I continued to play golf every weekend. My doctors were amazed by my recovery as I had increased my strength, stamina, and flexibility. Training with Katherine has been money and time very wisely invested.

  • When my workout began, Anthony met me at my conditioning level. He asked me what my goals were and then quietly put me on my path to personal fulfillment. Since training with Anthony, I’ve gained a greater range of motion and flexibility. He is constantly raising the bar for me by adding new and fun yet challenging exercises. Since working with Anthony, I’ve lost weight, gained muscle tone, and increased my level of energy. Also, I have received inspiring compliments from working with him. The biggest benefit I’ve seen since working out with Anthony and modifying my diet is my sleep apnea has disappeared. When people ask me what I’ve been doing to lose weight and gain more energy, I simply say ‘Bull Dawg training!

  • I have been training with Kenny for almost 5 years. Between kick-boxing, Good Morning Fitness (boot camp style class), and yoga, he keeps this 36-year-old body in tip top shape. He genuinely cares about one’s fitness goals. His workouts are challenging and fun. He mixes things up so no class is ever the same. I wouldn’t dream of working out with anyone else!
